meganrussell
My seven year old son loves anything to do with art - especially drawing. He goes through pages and pages of paper each week. I would like to get him something art - related for his "want" gift, but I'm sort of stuck. We have lots of craft supplies accessable to him, paper, pencils and everything. But I'd like to get him something special. Any ideas??
Guinevere
What about a boogie board? It will allow him to doodle and sketch everywhere, but not have a pile of paper.
meganrussell
Those are both really good ideas. I've seen the how to draw books on Amazon for pretty cheap. I'll have to look into the boogie board. That would be great to take in the car when we are on the go! Where do you buy them?

displace
Easel, specific how to draw book on something he is into (animals, Star Wars, etc). Maybe comic strip drawing how to, anime/manga? Thumb print drawing creations. Stencil drawing.
mmasc
One year I got my DC a mixed media sketch book (mid-size 5x7-ish) from Hobby Lobby. I gave them a nice sketch pencil, colored pencils, nice eraser, and black sharpie with it. Then I gave them access to ArtForKidsHub.com. They still have many great art pieces in that sketch book, when normally the art would’ve gotten scattered and lost. :)
