name of science book/program focusing on magnitudes?

Recommended Posts

I'm trying to remember the name of the book, or maybe it was a science curriculum, that introduced science concepts from the perspective of magnitudes. It is not "Universite in My Hands" but it is similar in idea. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

added emphasis about it not being "Universe"

yep. The Universe in My Hands by Mary Daly

You can buy them here.Sacred Heart Books and Gifts | Catholic Books | Catholic Gifts

or from her (google for her addy) or from Love2Learn blog (I think).

I know Mary (not the political activist M.Daly but the homeschooler) and she is brilliant! I have the highest regard for her- her books on science and diagramming are stellar:001_smile:

I have Universe in My Hands and would love to get it OFF my hands.

It's terrible to empliment and I don't imagine ever using it. I think it's the worst science material I've ever purchased. The concept is intriging and unique. And difficult to articulate and manage and empliment and is rather more teacher intense than I expected.

Nothing against Mary Daly at all. Sure she's a great lady. I just didn't like this material.

UinMH references these books, which you might be thinking of?
