Help with learning about prefixes and suffixes

This would be an expensive option, but "Word Skills" (Super Seatwork) by Mary Pecci has sections on prefixes, suffixes, and endings. It also has sections on alphabetizing, plurals, contractions, possessives and more. $19.75 at Rainbow Resource. We used this book very successfully during 3rd-4th grade to practice those skills. The pages are very simple, not overwhelming, with silly drawings and a "homemade" feel to them. Good for review/keeping up those skills. Hope that helps! Warmly, Lori D.

Two possible resources:

The Alpha List: A Dictionary Focusing on the Logic of English Spelling by Wanda Sanseri (Back Home Industries)

The Book of Roots by Paul OBrien (Memoria Press)

Neither resource has games though. You could also look into Word Roots by Critical Thinking Press. They have their programs available on CD now, which makes it seem like a game to my boys.
