BarbecueMom
Oh geez. BIL removed a wasp nest from the lid one of our coolers with a bottle rocket a couple years ago. But, outside, not in the garage. With no one else around. That being said, one time FIL was spending the night at his girlfriend's house, alone, while she was out of town. He heard a scratching noise from the dining room ceiling all night long. By morning he got curious and poked it with a stick. The stick went straight through, and out poured hundreds of yellow jackets. He fled. And called an exterminator. Although at that point, a controlled burn of the residence would have crossed my mind.

We have 4 traps set up outside. I get creepy-feeling just thinking about them.
