Free Indeed
A friend of mine is using this (and core 100) with her daughter and was wondering if there are tests, or worksheets or something with written work already done that she could give her daughter. She works and homeschools so is looking for something workbooky to help her. I knew the hive would know!;);)

Guest Alte Veste Academy
Here's a book of tests for the whole set. A History of US: Assessment Book: Books 1-10 http://www.amazon.com/History-US-Assessment-Book-Books/dp/0195153480/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1224981642&sr=1-2 You can also buy teacher's guides for each book in the series. Here's the first one. http://www.amazon.com/History-US-Americans-Prehistory-1600-Teaching/dp/0195153510/ref=pd_sim_b_3 Here's a web site that goes with the series also. http://www.pbs.org/wnet/historyofus/
Guest Alte Veste Academy
Yes, there are workbooks but they cost big bucks when you consider buying one for each book. Plus, they're not very work-booky. It looks like they're really intended to be a resource for classroom teachers. You can see samples here. http://joyhakim.com/forteachers.html#anchorlessonplanshistoryofus Johns Hopkins University Student Workbook for Book Volume 1 Hofus http://www.amazon.com/Hopkins-University-Student-Workbook-History/dp/019522082X/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1224981956&sr=1-9 Edited October 26, 2008 by Alte Veste Academy

mamato4girls
Thank you so much for posting this question! My DD uses these books, and we are using Sonlight's IG History, but only for the review and questions. I have not given one History test yet, and my daughter would actually like one. Guest
I bought the syllabus Hewitt Homeschooling has put out. It gives a test for each book, lists for project ideas to do each week and a schedule to complete the series in 36 weeks.
mom2abcd
The Blackline Masters are workbooky, but not bound. They're really nice.
Guest Alte Veste Academy
It's hard to believe how much stuff is actually out there! Here are some guides specifically for elementary. http://www.amazon.com/First-Americans-Elementary-Teaching-History/dp/0195168488/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1225291331&sr=1-
Capt_Uhura
Hmm here is another one for book 1. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0195153510/ref=ord_cart_shr?%5Fencoding=UTF8&m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&v=glance I wonder what the difference is from the one AVAcademy posted? SO it seems the one I link to is for middle school to highschool. THe one AAAcademy linked to is for elementary aged kids and uses the 3rd edition. WHEW! You saved me buying the wrong book!
