achilles7
I am looking ahead to my upcoming 8th and 9th graders who will start the History of the Ancient World text/study books. I looked the Table of Contents up and it has 85 chapters! How do you schedule this so it is completed in the 'typical' 180 school days/36 weeks? We normally are not perfectly on schedule, but I would love an idea on how you all schedule this course w/ your teens.
scrapbookbuzz
If you talk to pretty much any brick & mortar school teacher they'll tell you that most of the time they DO NOT finish the entire text in the school year. Plus, as homeschoolers, we have flexibility. Don't feel you MUST finish EVERY chapter. Give yourself permission to try to finish the text completely, if you wish, but be okay with finishing maybe 85% of it. Sometimes the "bunny trails" are more important than checking of the listed schedule.
Miss Tick
OP, there is a study guide available from Peace Hill Press that might be helpful. I find a few related threads by searching (all on one line in Google): HoTAW study guide site:forums.welltrainedmind.com
