mom31257
I thought Google Drive would be the best place to put a document that will have some revisions to it in the future. I had hoped to put a link in a Facebook group, and as the revisions happened, everyone could just go back to that link and see the changes. Is this possible, or am I doing something wrong? I went in to make one change, and the revision is showing up in my drive as a separate document. The link takes you to the original. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Peach
When you got the shareable link, did you set it so anyone could edit? If it was set to view only, that may be why it put your revisions in a new page.
Monica_in_Switzerland
Weird, that has never happened for me. I use a google doc in a way very similar to how you describe, with no problems. I do send out a new link each time I change it... but I can't imagine the link is actually any different... I will check next time I update.
mom31257
I think I figured out the problem. I uploaded a Word document instead of creating the document in Google docs. I made a new one in Google Docs, and the revisions are showing up. I tried two different ones, and the link shows them.
