poppy
I had several friends post on FB about this when it appeared to be a Muslim shooter who are really quiet about it now. That makes me very sad. Mamadou Tanou Barry, 42; Abdelkrim Hassane, 41; Khaled Belkacemi, 60; Aboubaker Thabti, 44; Azzeddine Soufiane, 57; and Ibrahima Barry, 39........... Sad news whenever a house of worship is struck. My thoughts & prayers are with the families of those lost.
Twolittleboys
What also bothers me about this (in addition of course to the tragic loss of life) is that news about terrorist attacks generally were on top of the news for days or even weeks when the terrorist was Muslim but this time it is a lot further down on my news feed. That may of course be due to some setting on my account... And then there are a lot of newsworthy developments at the time which might also have an impact. I do hope that is the reason as the alternative is pretty unpleasant.
Sneezyone
It does look like that now. But my point was that it wouldn't be unprecendented to be a more extreme or violent Muslim using violence against a minority Islamic sect, a more liberal mosque, etc. I think there is this idea that terrorists only target white westerners and that's just not true. The report has been corrected from the one I was seeing but the overall point still stands. A lot of the blanket fear of Muslims seems to ignore that many of them are the ones suffering terror and in higher prevalence than all the western terror attacks combined. That is true the middle east. That is not generally true of violence against Muslims in western nations. I agree with your second point tho. It's why their exclusion from immigration and the preference for Christians is so abhorrent.
