Math for 13yo with executive function difficulty

I would use manipulatives, you tube videos, and work with one basic concept at a time, even going back as far as needed and then moving slowly forward again.  Fractions/Decimals/Percentages/Division are all related and can take time for a child to grasp.  Start with concrete examples and move slowly from concrete to abstract.

Things that might help as far as curriculum:

Math U See (great level on fractions)

Key to Fractions, Key to Decimals, Key to Percents (may help for a child to see all of these as interrelated)

CTC Math (On-line math program with video instruction.  Student has access to math from Kindergarten through Pre-Calculus so they can go back to basic, basic fractions and hop forward with that specific concept, solidifying understanding as they go.)

Right Start (with manipulatives)

There are other programs but I am drawing a blank and have to run.  Hope this helps a bit...

1) Math  U See

2) step away from the problem for a while (or a couple of times per week) and do something else such as Balance Math or Hands on Equations

3) allow a calculator so as to separate understanding How to do it, from the arithmetic of doing it.
