journey00
It is easier for me to instruct my 6th & 7th grader at the same time. So, for time efficiency, I placed them both in EG6 but I'm concerned about the 7th grader. He can definitely do the work with no problem but will this affect him when he takes CAT test at the end of the year? Will placing him lower cause him to score lower in the CAT assessment test? TIA. journey00
Honestly, I think I could bump up the 6th grader into the next book of EG Plus. What would you do? Bump up the 6th grader or bring down the 7th grader?
Peaceful Isle
I would bump up the 6th grader, if you have the funds to purchase the easy grammar plus.
Ellie
Easy Grammar Plus for both. In either case, CAT scores shouldn't be affected.

Tiramisu
If it were me and I knew I had them home this year AND next year AND they had not done much grammar in the past, I would do EG6 this year and EGPlus next year. UNLESS they were the type who didn't need a lot of review. I would also be inclined to use Daily Grams on a testing year unless they already had very strong mechanics, etc. I wish I had used them when I used Plus last year. Language was DD's weakest area on testing. She did well but I think she could have done a bit better. DG may have helped.
