LaMere Academy
I've read 25 so far, but many are on my list to read. Why do you think The Color Purple should be banned??
C_l_e_0..Q_c
I've read 35 of them, and English isn't my mother tongue . Ok, some titles I read in French, because they're by French authors. but they still count, right?
Sparkle
I've read 41. There are a few on there I know I'll never read, but I think I'll add some of the others to my library list. Thanks for posting this.

Thanks for posting this. So in my good intentions, I tried reserving Les Miserables from the library. How weird is it that they own NO copies of it?! I can get it through inter-library loan, but really??
JumpedIntoTheDeepEndFirst
part of the Complete Works of Shakespeare... just askin'... I don't mind double credit... it just seemed odd that it was listed separately  I think I managed to hit an even 40--if the average American only reads 6 then I know why we have problems. More than 6 of these were on my high school reading list. Yes-Hamlet is part of Shakespeare just as The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe is part of the Chronicles of Narnia... hmmm-who proof reads for these people and how many did they read?
