Laying Down the Rails or Plants Grown Up?

Recommended Posts

We use (and enjoy) LDTR for Children.  The lessons take 10-15 minutes each week, and you work on the habits throughout the week as well (as issues come up).  My DC have enjoyed the readings and lessons.  This past year we studied attention.  I gave them two puzzles, one completed in silence and one completed with me playing loud music and talking/singing/jumping around.  Then we talked about which puzzle was easier to complete.  They absolutely loved this activity (and mom acting totally silly)!  Other days we read and discuss a poem, Bible verse, or story.  You're also encouraged to come up with real life stories about how this habit has effected your life.  I chose to talk about struggling to pay attention during sermons and how we miss out on the message when our minds are not focused.
