Haven't read all the comments.

 

We hear all the time about kids who come from war-torn countries at 15, having had no schooling, and catch up in order to graduate and be ready for college at 20 or 21 - and this in a foreign language! So yes, it is possible.

 

But it's not guaranteed. Those success stories involve families and schools which spend an inordinate amount of effort and energy on those kids, and even then, not all of them make it.

 

On the other hand, 10 and 11 isn't that old, and all you're worried about is math and reading. So it's a little easier, provided that the parents aren't pulling against you.
