sdobis
I've decided to switch from teaching textbooks to CLE next year. My daughter could benefit from the constant review of CLE. If I give her the placement test, will it tell me which specific books she needs to review or just what grade to start?
OneStepAtATime
It will tell you what level to place her in but it will also show you which things she missed. If she is close to placing into a level but missed by just a few problems, then maybe she just needs exposure to a few things she hadn't seen before. The first light unit of each level is a review of the previous level/concepts. You could run her through the concepts of the 1st light unit of the level she was close to placing into using the TM and a dry erase board to introduce the concepts, then have her do each lesson in that Light Unit. If she does fine then she should be able to move on from there to the rest of the Light Units in that level. (Don't judge the program by that first light unit. It is different from a standard light unit and is strictly for review and to determine if the student is ready to move into that level). sdobis
Yes, I remember. I used it on and off with my older child. That should be really helpful.
