mcconnellboys
thought I'd post this link to Tightwad Central: http://www.tightwad.com/ just in case there are those here who might be unfamiliar with it. I gave my husband a subscription to The Tightwad Gazette many years ago, but I think I enjoyed it just as much as he did. This online version is also full of tons of thrifty ideas.... Kelli in TN
Am I the only one that read this title and thought, "oh, politics!" Conservative means different things depending on the context!:)
GothicGyrl
I tried, I really did, to follow this. Maybe because I was never taught, but I got so lost trying to follow this that I just gave up. It was just too much work, for trying to make things easier for me. ;P

Rachel
books, sites, newsletters...........I take what I can use and leave the rest. The one thing I have come to realize is that we all have those things we are willing to skimp on and those things that are non-negotiable. For me I will not EVER buy generic mayonaise and I buy premium bread.......but I will buy the cheapest paper towels I can find. A friend of mine will not buy anything without a name label on it, but buys all her clothes from thrift stores. I am sure there are those that will do ALL those things in a book.......but for me there are certain limits I set.....that are different from those someone else makes. mcconnellboys
I agree. But if I'm saving in some areas, I feel that I can afford to splurge more in other areas. And here's another site I found that has a ton of links for very specific categories of savings: http://www.stretcher.com/menu/topic.htm It's called the Dollar Stretcher....
