Hunter
Wow, how have I never heard about this site????? http://www.survivorlibrary.com/?page_id=1014 I was searching for more information about the early boy scout handbooks and stumbled on this site. Chemistry, geography, botany, readers, phonics, etc.
foxbridgeacademy
I had a Doctor tell me about this (for my mom, the prepper) last year but by the time I got home I forgot. Thanks!
Hunter
There are just a ton of SCHOOL subjects as well. Arithmetic, journalism, civics, drawing and more, as well as what I listed above. And of course cool stuff like beekeeping and basketmaking. Somehow we missed discovering this site as a TEXTBOOK resource.
Hunter
I'm only able to view this site on my phone, right now. I won't have a chance to lug my laptop to a public wifi spot until tonight. I can't wait.
Allearia
I love that there is a whole category of books on opium.
Mergath
I love the irony that you have to use a computer and the internet to reach the website that teaches you "how to survive and prosper without modern technology." Thanks for posting the link. It looks like a neat collection.
Eagle
Hunter, are you familiar with http://archive.org? It is a collection of free documents, books, and media. There is a search feature partway down the page (it says "Universal Access to Knowledge" where you search). You can go to specific university archives, choose a media type to search, or search by keyword. There is so much information you could spend your whole life reading things on this site! Since you mentioned beekeeping, I searched by keyword and found 345 beekeeping resources. I checked out a beekeeper's handbook and found an awesome labeled bee anatomy drawing that I'm going to use with my dc!
Hunter
The entire section on opium was hysterical. I too find it funny to stock up on eBooks for a catastrophe. Eagle, I love the public domain sites. It is just really rare I find a new-to-me site this large and organized. I get a little excited.
