Farrar
For the iPad? Especially for older kids. We're starting a geography unit and I told the kids we could download some new stuff. Ones I know to get the ball rolling... Google Earth (of course) Barefoot Books Atlas (it's soooo beautiful... though my middle schoolers have mostly outgrown it) Stack the States Stack the Countries We've also found that Pandemic and Ticket to Ride are good for a little geography.
dragonflyer
Seterra has an online version you can access through the iPad. Their app only seems to be available to download on a windows platform.
kbutton
Geography Drive is fun for US Geography. It also has some strategy.

He had me quizzing him from a Geography Bee Handbook I found in the $1 bin, but he can do an app without me!
