SA Homeschooler
I am trying to give my son a more global view of World History than I got in High School. I have ordered two of the Great Courses: Foundations of Eastern Civilization and Foundations of Western Civilization. I realize that these will only supplement the spine I select and it is in that search that I would like The Hive's help. Here are the two spines I'm considering any input is welcomed. EKS
Ways of the World is an excellent text and beautifully written, but it is also very big picture. I probably would not use it with a student who did not have a solid elementary/middle school world history background.
SA Homeschooler
Kai, Thank you for that!! I am definitely looking for a "Big Picture" text. I really have no intention of having him take the AP exam in World History or anything of the sort.
