Teresa in MO
Is anyone considering using Dr. Wile's new Chemistry book that is coming out in August? They have the first two chapters online. I like what I see and am in the process of comparing it with the Apologia Chemistry 2nd edition that I already have. I think this new book would be a better fit for my dd. It seems less wordy to me. Teresa in MO
I didn't know that he was writing a new one. He's not with Apologia anymore, is he? I've read that the 3rd Ed. of the Apologia chemistry text has many errors and what not. I wonder if he regrets selling Apologia. I'm off to check out the new one he's written. :) Yes, he started writing a new one after seeing the errors of the 3rd edition. The first two chapters and the table of contents are on his website. It seems more doable for a non stem student than the 2nd edition of Exploring Creation with Chemistry. It is formatted a little different. It will come out in August. I am seriously considering it for my two high school students to do together.
dhudson
Looking at it pretty seriously. I really like that he says the new Chemistry course will have more experiments and experiments at a higher level. My twins really love Science so I think this could be just what they need. JumpedIntoTheDeepEndFirst
We used the old 2nd edition for dd and am considering chem for ds next year. I was curious about the new book but it took some hunting to find it online.
