matrips Posted June 3, 2015 Share Posted June 3, 2015 I installed a Google chromecast on the tv, and installed the chromecast app on my iPhone and iPad. Now what do I do? How do I watch something? Do I need to download more apps to watch stuff? I am also an Amazon prime member and I hear I get to watch stuff through them. I've never streamed anything before, and have no idea how it's done. Goldilocks Posted June 3, 2015 Share Posted June 3, 2015 I did this earlier this year. I don't remember exactly how it is done, but I managed it - which means it was really simple! What I remember: Change the input on your tv so Chromecast shows. It will rotate through photographs. Be near the tv and bring up something to watch on your ipad. (A youtube video is easy to start with.) A new little icon will appear on the video. Tap it. The video will appear on your tv! Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Tenaj Posted June 3, 2015 Share Posted June 3, 2015 I don't think you can use Amazon with a Chromecast. At least the last time I checked Amazon has their own product and won't allow us to use Chromecast. Netflix works easily and youtube as someone else mentioned. A neat thing that my husband just figured out is how to load our own photographs so that when our chromecast comes up on the TV, it's our own pics showing.
