LovinHS
Have you used the Advanced Physics as preparation for an AP Physics exam? Which exam does it prepare for - there are 4 different AP exams? Did you find Apologia to be enough, or does it require supplements to be fully prepared? Thanks!
Ann.without.an.e
I have no experience with apologia. Have you looked at the following http://www.diveintomath.com/physics-12th-grade/
EndOfOrdinary
The Advanced Physics was written before all the AP Physics rewrites. I would be very doubtful that supplementation is need simply because there was no way when the book was published for them to know the test was going to split. With all the other Apologia books, the advanced books "cover the AP materials" but in no way do they prepare a student for the test. They include tiny, cursory bits which are the subjects for the test but no where near the depth needed to actually succeed. ETA: I say this as a someone who is having her child use Apologia high school science books. They are not bad books, but they were never written to be AP books. AP is a money maker and Apologia is not stupid. By putting AP stuff on their descriptions, they are going to get more purchases. The best way is to go on the College Board and pull up the test you are considering. You will very quickly see when you go through the materials that Apologia comes NO WHERE NEAR the level necessary.
