sassenach Posted April 22, 2015 Share Posted April 22, 2015 We were just about to put the deposit in for DDs school and I had her check her FA one last time to make sure that everything looked right. Her UNsubsidized loan has disappeared. Now, I have heard of subsidized loans getting changed, but what happened here? We have a call into her FA counselor. What do you think is going on? creekland Posted April 23, 2015 Share Posted April 23, 2015 From what I understand, unsubsidized loans are available (up to the federal dollar amount for their year) to any US incoming college student. My guess would be glitch - unless you see another grant or scholarship in there replacing the loan. I'm assuming the total package amount has changed? If not, look to see what replaced it. sassenach Posted April 24, 2015 Author Share Posted April 24, 2015 This ended up being a quick fix. DD, according to the computer system, clicked the decline button on the loan.
