shell in SC
Dh is in the National Guard, working for the Emergency Operations Center in the SC Emergency Management Division. He just called to tell me he's been activated. I probably won't see him till Hanna passes, he'll be at the operations center that they set up at the coast. Please continue to keep everyone on the Atlantic and Gulf coasts in your prayers cause the storms are lining up in the Atlantic. TD 10 is now named (Josefine, I think) and isn't real far behind Ike. My family should be ok. . .we're a couple hours inland, so it does get bad here and we do open up Evac Centers, but not to the extent of the coast. If it does look like it's coming straight for us, we might head to WV to my sisters, but I don't think we'll have to do that. . .we've ridden out storms before. I hope and pray that the Lord keeps all my internet "friends" safe during the hurricane season! shell
sdWTMer
Oh boy, will pray here! Thank your dh for his service! I thought I just read that it was lowered to a tropical storm, so that's good news!

susie in tx
Oh man. I'm sorry. My dh had to go for Gustav via his civilian job this weekend. He was gone overnight, but they say that he may still need to go again. The NG hasn't called him yet, but they might. Praying for all of you that have dh's gone. May they stay out of harm's way.
