YNAB question? One-time payment?

Do you have a category like "Activities" or "Lessons"? That's what I would do with it.

I am only just learning YNAB, so there may be another solution, though. For example, in Quick Books accounting software for business, you can choose to "deactivate" categories, clients, etc., when you no longer need to see them in your active accounting. This way, it doesn't screw up past payments, but you don't have to keep looking at a client you haven't worked for in twelve years.

You can hide it after you are finished, I think.

Yes, there is a hidden category at the bottom of your budget worksheet. When you are no longer using a subcategory, you simply slide it down to the hidden area. If you only need it for a short while, maybe you can add it into another area, like school or even an entertainment budget - then you could add a little note to explain how that money was used for future reference.
