fitbit flex, garmin vivofit questions

main question can the fitbit go in the pool. I can't find the answer. 

 

anyone have the vivofit and like dislike. I've seen most of the fitbit posts here.

Yes, the Fitbit can go in the pool and the ocean. Mine has several times with not problems.

I have the Garmin vivoflex and like it better than the fitbit, especially the not having to charge it part. The vivofit does not have steps climbed. I have heard it can come off the arm, but I purchased an elastic band desined to keep it closed and have had no issues. My vivofit was $79.00 on amazom; I don't know if that is the current price.

I got a Vivofit for Christmas, and I love it.  I didn't want anything fancy, and this does what I need.  I will try to use some of the other features as I figure them out, but now I'm just using it for tracking steps and mileage. 

 

It can get wet -- I think it is waterproof to 30 feet or something like that.  I'll see if  I can find the page I was looking at yesterday that had that info.  I spent a little bit of time yesterday googling info about the Vivofit and trying to expand my limited knowledge.

While the fitbit can go in the pool, it's not going to measure what you're doing in the pool with any degree of accuracy. It's built to measure steps only.
