"Outside" activites in a small space?

We live in a 2nd floor condo.  We have a screened patio that is approximately 12x8.  I would like some ideas for things that my kiddos can do on the patio to be active.  I am not thinking of arts and crafts, but physically active.  We do go down and outside, we do go to the pool, I am thinking something that will keep them busy while I cook dinner, or keep two busy while I work with another, those type of things.  Any ideas?

anyplace to put up a small net for mini-volleyball (look for the small size balls)?
