lexi
At what ages do you introduce certain study skills such as note taking? What do you use to help you introduce them? Are there any books, articles, or other resources that were helpful?
PeterPan
Well WTM 4th grade (or is it 5th?) has you start outlining, which defacto becomes note-taking for texts. If you're using IEW you learn keyword outlines and how to take notes on sources. If you do WWS, you learn more note-taking from sources. What do you want to take notes on? Some things, like online courses, come with study guides to fill out as you watch the lecture. For my dd15 I just got the IEW Advanced Communication Series, where he teaches a novel method of note taking. However that's aimed at older kids. For younger, I'd just do the amount and type that fits the source and goal. (take notes on sermon so you can discuss afterward, whatever)
