Seasider
I am investigating resources for some high school student council training. I am not looking for theoretical/philosophical leadership books. I am more interested in transmitting PRACTICAL leadership skills, ie, running a meeting, organizing an event, working with committee structures, engaging class participation, that kind of thing. So, two questions for the hive: 1 - Do you know of any curriculum out there that focuses on these topics? 2 - What skills did I not mention that would be helpful? Any other insights you could share would be appreciated! Seems like the kids are currently expected to know/develop these skills in sink-or-swim fashion; I'd like to offer some materials to take out some of the stress and guesswork so they can move on to using their time and energy productively. Thanks! (X posting to general board)

purplelily
Check with your local 4H group, they give out a booklet about how to run a club. Also, Robert's Rules of Order, this help them run a meeting.
