HTTS / How to Spell… start with Workbook 1?

We are going to finish up AAS 2 in the next few weeks… if we make the switch to HTTS, should I start with workbook 1 or 2? I'm thinking workbook 1 and just treat it as a review he could do over the summer and maybe start with workbook 2 in the fall?

How old is your child? The workbooks are not sequential. You can start in 2 or 3 or 4, but I'd only do that with an older child. If your child is 1st grade, for example, I'd definitely go with workbook 1. I accidentally bought a higher level, not realizing how it worked. Each workbook spans a few grades, so the levels do NOT equal grade level.

I don't use the workbooks. I simply go through the TM and teach directly from it.

I've got the TM and I'm reading thru it. I would like a workbook for those times when I can't dictate. I'll start with book 1. Thanks!

I'm working through workbook 4 for my own self-education and doing fine, but I'm thinking of backing up and doing 3 first. Sometimes the quickest route is the longer but easier route of starting lower.
