Jessie96 Posted April 8, 2014 Share Posted April 8, 2014 Hello just wondering if anyone has any tips in trying to improve the presence of keloid scars and scars that are dented inwards.All my scars are surgical scars and I am so self conscious.Is the only option surgery? I am going to ask my doctor the next time I see her what can be done to make them go away.There is just so many and they are a constant reminder of everything(I had cancer etc) and they are so deep and awful looking. Hypatia. Posted April 8, 2014 Share Posted April 8, 2014 Ask your doctor about steroid injections into the scars. I've had it done (it takes several times) and it has helped the pain (felt like an ice pick stabbing one), redness, and reduced the size.
