Or as essentially a whole unit of yes/no if it contains valid information or not. Or are you counting per word of information? Assuming you mean factual information and as a whole unit.... Books because there are more of them. Even Fiction books have some factual information in them. If you mean as a ratio of fact vs filler: I would say journal articles because by nature they are facts based. A journal article is shorter and easier to write and multiple articles can be in one magazine. If you mean per word: I would say books because they tend to be longer and have more words.
