Penguin
I usually see this question asked the other way - i.e., can Course X count a high school credit? My son will possibly take an outsourced Latin 1 next year, so it is a no-doubt-about-it high school course. But what if (gulp) he doesn't do as well as expected? Would it have to go on his high school transcript or could it remain an 8th grade class?
In The Great White North
It can definitely remain an 8th grade class.
regentrude
No, there is no reason it needs to go on the transcript.
bettyandbob
Only if you want the credit. Otherwise, don't count the credit and don't mix it with the GPA. My local school district gives parents the option of not counting higher math and foreign language classes taken in middle school.
