She will be working through the geometry section then going on to MM6A. She's done well with 5B but I don't think her understanding of operations with fractions is really solid. Will this all be covered again in MM6? Alternatively, is there another resource I could have her work through on the side to make sure she really understands these operations? You could also add some extra review using the Key To Fractions booklets, or just print extra practice worksheets from the MM worksheet generator. My dd was in the same boat - she did well on the MM5 Fractions, but I could tell she wasn't 100% solid, she had to stop and think about the rules when adding vs. multiplying, would forget to reduce, etc. It's one of the reasons we decided to review with MM6 before jumping officially into PreAlgebra. I do have the Key to Fraction workbooks, I think we used the first one some time ago, I'll go pull those out they may be good to use on the side until we get to fraction part of MM6.
