Susan C.
Hi! Happy Thanksgiving! My gravy is wonderful, and I will update that thread once I figure out what to do with all of this turkey! I made two turkeys, one last night, one today. I need to freeze a lot of this meat. I thought I could just put it in freezer bags, but I read it may dry out. I would like some for sandwiches (so hopefully not with gravy) and some for soup etc. I do have some chicken broth available until it goes in the freezer as well. Thanks! marbel
I wrap leftover meat in plastic wrap and then in freezer bags. If I wrap tightly and then get all the air out of the bag, it doesn't dry out at all. I usually portion it out in about 1/4 pound bundles and pull it out as needed. Works for me, anyway. Susan C.
Thanks! I already put 2 1-lb. pieces in freezer bags. I pushed all the air out, and rolled the bag (qt. bags too small, gal. ones too large). That will be used in something, but your way will get me the sandwich meat I'm wanting.
