Nscribe
I am hoping tapping the hive will help me with a decision. Does anyone have an great resource (website, tc course, coursera...) for "Human Geography". I have a couple of texts and a Baron's AP study guide, but I am still trying to decide if this is a course it would be worth having Dd do formally. Nscribe
Karen, I often hear that this is one of the easier AP's to self study. Do you have any experience with this to share? TY for the links, they were also mentioned in one of the texts, so it looks like I will be delving into them.

justkeepswimming
I found tons of info online when I was researching and making our syllabus for this at-home class! Some of the websites have been updated since I was looking through them originally (it was over the summer, so the websites had ALL year up... now some of them only have up through November's information). Hope it's helpful! I have a list of the textbooks we chose to use too, if you are interested in those. http://www.mooreschools.com/Page/19927 http://teacherweb.ftl.pinecrest.edu/snyderd/APHG/syllabus.htm http://moodle.houstonisd.org/LAMARHS/course/view.php?id=286 http://www.youtube.com/geographyuberalles http://www.learner.org/resources/series180.html http://south.mpls.k12.mn.us/unit_one_assignments

While this may be true, I think it is acknowledged by colleges and many don't give credit for it. Depending on your goals for this course, you may want to plan accordingly. This looks like a subject area that could bring together a great deal of information, employ a variety of skill sets and be interesting to study and discuss. It just throws me to hear a general sentiment that it is considered a lesser AP. The sites you linked are very helpful in seeing how it is being approached, TY!
