coffeegal
My oldest is using the Spielvogel World Civilization textbook with TOG. It's a good text that might work well for you for world history. :001_smile:
Kareni
Have you read the section in Susan Wise Bauer's The Well-Trained Mind that pertains to high school history? (Ms. Bauer hosts this board.) There are resources recommended there. Regards, Kareni
Candid
No one can offer any advice for World History? We follow the four year plan for history so it takes us four years to cover world history. We don't use one shot history texts, but instead individual volumes. I suspect this is not what you want to hear. Added: Also retitle this thread to reflect your desire to learn about world history texts.
VaKim
What kind of history are you looking for? Textbook? Living books? We have already been all through history using many different books and resources, so I am planning to just let my dd (who will be in 10th) use BJU World History for a one year overview. I already have it, and we like the way it is written and laid out. It also comes with activity pages you can use or not use or use part of. It has interesting pictures and sidebars as well, which dd likes. I will throw in some extra books to go along, but don't have any exact plan for that. Oh, I figure you already know, but just in case, BJU is Christian. Very.
