Teaching Geometry to a Kinesthetic learner...help please

Hello All,

 

  I'm looking for Geometry text recommendations for a 9th grade kinesthetic learner whose strong suite is not math.

I remember doing two hands on things when I had geometry back in high school of course this was antediluvian so things may have changed.

 

We did string art:

We did it on card stock and with a needle and thread. This is less sturdy than the nails on boards way, but it worked.

 

We also made geometric shapes out of card stock.

You can combine shapes and make beautiful objects, especially stars.

I would approach plane geometry from the side of classical construction with compass and straight edge. I think you could tweak any curriculum to emphasize this aspect and use it as a jumping off point for discovering theoretical relationships.

Patty Paper geometry as a supplement?

There is this short book called Mathematics Through Paper Folding. I asked a more experienced mom about this and she said it is geared toward high school level geometry and walks the student through the paper folding techniques; so, it's not discovery/exploration-based like Patty Paper Geometry is.
