Crimson Wife Posted July 14, 2013 Share Posted July 14, 2013 I asked my DH (who is from the Philly area) whether he pronounces "war" and "wore" as homophones, and when he said them, there is a very slight difference. Not as much as when I say them (mine is definitely closer to rhyming with far/car/star though not quite). But definitely not homophones.
