Chelated zinc for acne - what's the dose?

You could start with 30mg and if that doesn't work after a few weeks, bump it up to 50mg.


I don't have acne, but I was starting to experience a once-a-month breakout about 2 years ago. It wasn't too bad, but it was enough to be annoying. About 6 months ago, I started taking 50mg of zinc citrate daily. I haven't had the breakouts since.

Does anyone else get nauseated from taking zinc? I have to take it right before bed and fall asleep quickly, or else I'm miserable.



Don't know yet! But maybe it would be a good idea to just start taking it at bedtime in order to avoid that chance - thanks for the heads up.


BTW, I have to take my iron supplements in the evening for the same reason.
