6packofun
I don't really love eating breakfast. Never have. I eat whatever seems like it won't upset my stomach. lol Yogurt & fruit (many times just a cup of Greek yogurt) Half a bagel or piece of whole wheat toast, with or without a fried egg on top Cereal w/milk Scrambled eggs with spinach, mushrooms, maybe a sprinkle of cheese. (I do one egg and 2-3 whites) Fried potatoes (usually with eggs) I bake several potatoes at once and then dice after cool so that they're on hand for frying. Leftover veggies from dinner the night before. Cream of Wheat--this is the only hot cereal I can stand. An apple, sometimes with a smear of PB Occasionally we have cottage cheese pancakes or banana/flax bread or some other baked good I've made. Not too often. Honestly, I'm just trying to give my body a little fuel to make it until lunch! I can't eat a big breakfast.
Alessandra
We like a big, high protein breakfast. Almost always includes eggs -- fried, scrambled, poached, boiled etc. with toast, grits, or polenta. Omelets -- plain, cheese, mushroom, etc, or Spanish omelet with potatoes. On weekends, we add cooked mushrooms & tomatoes, maybe bacon and/or sausage (Irish preferred). Occasionally we have pancakes or oatmeal, with cooked fruit. Sometimes fish -- kippers, smoked salmon (not the $$$ salmon, but lox), or kedgeree. Breakfast is my favorite meal, I think. I love some of the ideas here -- planning to try lentil soup and other suggestions.
