freesia
How long did it take you to go through: Ellen McHenry Cells Ellen McHenry Carbon Chemistry We did Cells in about 5 weeks. It was awesome. It would have been nicer to stretch it a bit but it was a diversion for us and I had other things I wanted to cover and felt we needed to stay "on track." My son had become bored of science and it really relighted a fire. He asked me to find more resources like that.
Momling
I budgeted 3 or 4 weeks for Cells, but when I saw the depth and realized its potential, we spent almost 3 months with it! I'd give yourself at least a week per chapter.
cschnee
We are working on Carbon chemistry right now and so far are able to get through 1 chapter/day. This includes the comprehesion tests and the on-line research, but not the extra activities. So far, none of those have interested us. There are eleven chapters in the program, so 2 weeks and a bit...
Penguin
Thanks for the input! I want to do both Cells and Carbon Chem next year. We did Elements earlier this year and will start The Brain next week.
