madteaparty
has anyone made the switch? Was it fairly seamless? Extra review is welcome, we afterschool and take it slow. My son is finishing up third grade.
Heartsjoy
We made the switch at this stage too. It wasn't a problem. The Singapore site would list table of contents. If you were using just the TB/ WB there might be a topic lost in the jump up at the 4B level. I think I remember reading, it is harder to switch at 5A and above to standards because of more topic rearranging.
happypamama
Check out Singapore's scope and sequence as to when topics are introduced; some levels are pretty similar, and others are different. It could be that you come across something that is introduced earlier in Standards but later in US, so you might have to catch your child up a bit on something. But I'm thinking for elementary math, it's probably not going to be that difficult to do that.
Dana
"Can we switch from the US Edition to the Standards Edition? For 1A-2B it is possible to switch from the A book in the U.S. Edition to the B book in the Standards Edition. For levels 3-5, you will need to finish the B books of one level before switching to A book of the next level and not switch mid year. Between levels 5 and 6, it is not advisable to switch editions at all." From here.
