TXMary2
Does anyone know what happened to the Listmania feature on Amazon? It seems to be gone.
5LittleMonkeys
I just googled amazon listmania the other day and this popped up. Not sure how to access through the regular site though...it's probably something obvious I'm missing. :p
Stellalarella
I used it to find FIAR books--it was so handy. But I do believe it is goners. In January, I used Listmania to create a book list for a class, and now I cannot search for it. The only only way I can find it is under my own account. TXMary2
Mine are still there. Laura Oooh, ooh! When I clicked on your link it showed listmania in the search bar! Thanks! Okay - just discovered that when I go directly to amazon.com and scroll down some, there is a section titled "My Participation" and a link that says, "Your Listmania Lists" - so yay - I can get to it now. I am annoyed that the listmania search doesn't just automatically show on the left hand side bar anymore though......
laundrycrisis
I asked about it on their user forum. This is the response I got: http://www.amazon.co...Tx1U914LPCI9KRS I really miss them. I wish I could get 100,000 people to complain and get Amazon to bring them back. (not that I'm suggesting that or anything, lol !) I also started this thread here, asking about suggestions for replacements for Listmania, which nobody responded to... http://forums.welltr...-for-listmania/ I know that I can get to my own Listmania lists still...but what I miss is being able to make lists that other people might find and find useful...and automatically being able to search for lists of a particular kind of book. BTW, here is the link to complain to Amazon ! (you will have to log in) https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/contact-us/features-and-services.html? Punchie
I just created one for board(ish) games for the 2-4 yr old set. So that means that no one will be able to see it? What about the "So you want to..." lists?
funathome
BTW, here is the link to complain to Amazon ! (you will have to log in) https://www.amazon.c...-services.html? Done. I miss those too!
laundrycrisis
I just created one for board(ish) games for the 2-4 yr old set. So that means that no one will be able to see it? What about the "So you want to..." lists? I do not know about the "so you'd like to". I have not checked out the situation with those. Do they still come up automatically in Amazon when you do searches on the main page ? I know that Listmania lists used to, and now they do not. So if I make a Listmania list for books about bats, it will not show up automatically when someone does a typical search on Amazon. They would have to take other specific steps, that would probably not occur to most people, to be able to get to the "search Listmania" function. Listmania no longer automatically shows up an as option in the search box. You have to know how to find yourself a side door in to get it to come up.
