Momof3
Anyone know of any (preferably free) resources with math songs put to traditional tunes (you know, Row, Row, Row Your Boat and Mary Had a Little Lamb)? I'm thinking songs that teach skip counting, addition & subtraction facts, fact families, etc. Any suggestions would be great!
theYoungerMrsWarde
Bumping for you because I would love something like this!
Charlened1974
It's not free, but I highly recommend Heidi's Songs. I use it in kindergarten class, and my kids love it! I do, too.:)
mathnerd
Math Concepts I & II by Ron Brown are very good. Definitely not traditional, but fun and catchy. My friend teaches K and she recommended it and we like it. We use it during long trips in the car.
SebastianCat
Math U See also has a math songs CD with math facts for addition and skip counting.
OSUBuckeye
I've seen multiplication songs set to those tunes (skipcounting by each number). They weren't my style... Now in eight years you should have them learn the quadratic formula through Frere Jaques. That's when people turn their heads and know you're a real nerd. A formula with radical signs, variables, and a quotient turned into a kindergarten song - awesome!
theYoungerMrsWarde
Ds4 singing "Two times three equals six" today reminded me that Starfall.com does a lot of math songs.
Rai B.
We liked these . (3s Happy Birthday, 4s London Bridge, 6s Row Row Row Your Boat, 7s Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, 8s Morning Bells, 9s The Hokey Pokey) The teacher who made the youtube video sells some with music, but we didn’t use them. (I didn’t like the samples.)
