Jones, one Angelina Ballerina, a couple Ramona/Beverly Cleary, skimmed and hopped her way through some of various Laura Ingalls Wilder books. Any other suggestions? "Girly" ones would be preferred. She REALLY likes Captain Underpants but I don't think they have many girl characters. We also have a huge illustrated Wizard or Oz she is working through.
