Forget-Me-Not
I have a Maytag brand upright deep freezer that I've had for about 8 yrs. The control dial has the numbers 1-5, a snowflake and an igloo. The manual indicates that the igloo is for a "fast-freeze" option (for flash freezing things), but there is no mention anywhere in the manual about the snowflake icon or what it's for. So, since the Hive has the answer to almost everything, I'm hoping someone can help me with this: What does the snowflake icon mean? It's been bugging me for years! LMA
The snowflake usually means the coldest level, so it would be equivalent of a 6.

I emailed Maytag sort of expecting I'd never hear from them, but they wrote right back and said that it was equivalent to six. Why they didn't just assign a 6 to that spot? Annoying. Howard
Well my controller has both the snowflake and igloo PLUS a circle with two dots opposing one another along the perimeter. Any guesses what that is for? it too is a Maytag stand alone upright freezer
