momsuz123
So, my 7 year old finished her 9 month vision therapy in October. We were to continue with some tracking exercises, lifesavers and concentric circles. We did okay with it for awhile, but you can guess how it went. We didn't do it as often as we shoud have. Then in the last month I have noticed a drop in her piano playing ability/reading sheet music. I was happy to see her reading ability take off. She went from books with just one or two sentences per page, then to books with 4-5 sentences per page. I then noticed her skipping words, etc. I took her back to her optometrist, and sure enough, some areas she continued to improve on, but the one with testing her tracking, bad. She has intermittent bilateral strabissmus, with one eye worse than the other. If I throw a ball for her to catch, watching her eyes is enough to make me puke! So glad I used my mother's gut instinct and took her back. So, we are back to brushing up and doing her exercises, daily!!
PeterPan
Well it's not fun, but at least you caught it. Good for you! :)
