yorkshire_parkin
I have a "going in to" 6th grader. Last year we took a year off from R&S grammar to focus on writing (writing tales), we have previously completed R&S Grammar 3 and 4, and she has very strong grammar skills. This year we will be (hopefully) be doing IEW, and want to also get back to grammar. Funds are running low. I have R&S Grammar 5 and 7, but not six. Do you think i should/could use one of these programs? Or try and stretch to buy R&S GRAMMAR 6? thanks -rebecca-
Lolly
I'd go ahead and use the 5. Keep an eye out during the year for the 6th used. You will want it to use the next year.
Lydia
Since you say your daughter has very strong grammar skills, and since IMHO R&S has review built into its program so that I doubt for someone with strong grammar skills skipping one year (5) and staying at grade level would be a problem, have you considered putting your Grade 5 books up for sale and picking up a used Grade 6? You might not wind up losing much money. Then she could just do 6 this year. I have seen them for sale on ebay as well as here. Just a thought. Best wishes, Lydia
