remedial labs for high school student?

Recommended Posts

So, we did mostly unschooling until the end of 7th grade, and then

we switched over to WTM-sort of methods. But we did hardly any science

except what DC learned on his own.

He is taking Physics right now and we *think* it is going quite well (understands the

concepts with ease, is able to get the problems right most of the time). I am worried about

his lack of lab experience (there were a couple of extremely simple lab-type

projects in elementary school) and the fact that we did next to no formal science until

the end of 7th grade.

Do I need to do some remedial science or at least remedial science labs?

Or just continue doing high school science as if we had done it all along?

I know, I know...I should have done it before...but we were more

unschooly before, plus we hadn't discovered WTM yet,

and DC scored very high on his 5th grade Iowa test so we decided it was fine.

I don't think it's so fine now.

Any advice?
