m0mmaBuck Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 DD6 is nearing the end of CLE's Learning to Read program. I assume that Reading 1 picks up where LTR leaves off and is to be used in conjunction with the LA program, Is that correct? And is it necessary? Thank you. Quote
Mommy22alyns Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 The reading program is not necessary. You also don't need to use CLE's LA with it; you can use something else if you want. Quote
m0mmaBuck Posted February 20, 2013 Author Posted February 20, 2013 I like the LA program for DD... With DS, it caused excessive frustration and tears. I might try Reading 1 too and then determine what to do next year. I just didn't know if it was necessary (i.e. if Reading covered things LA does not). Quote
HiddenJewel Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 CLE Reading and LA are different programs although we have never used the beginning levels to know if they overlap more. You might be able to tell more from the Light Unit samples on the clp.org site. Quote
